Gaseous extinguishing systems are typically used in critical areas of a business’ operation such as computer/server rooms, telecoms rooms, electrical switchgear rooms, and other high risk areas where water damage must be avoided. Other protected areas are archive stores, laboratories, gas turbines, oil installations, power generation - to name but a few.
A&E can design, install and maintain systems on a project by project basis, complying with British Standards and the legislative requirements.
The gas is stored in self-contained bottles and when the system is activated, the room is totally flooded with gas to extinguish the fire. Activation is by heat or smoke-detection systems to initiate early detection and rapid release of the gas agents to extinguish the fire. The various gases used are all environmentally safe.
For further information on the gaseous extinguishing systems contact A&E.
A&E Fire can Design, Supply, Install, Maintain, Test, Commission and Hire fire equipment.
