Fire Training - Fire Wardens Course
Course Summary: A half day Fire Warden training course, including fire fighting training and demonstration in the use of portable fire extinguishers.
Who should attend: This course would benefit Health & Safety representatives, departmental heads, managers or any designated personnel for this important role.
Number: The course is run for a maximum number of 10 delegates, thus enabling personal discussion on topics specific to your risk.
Location: At A & E Fire Equipment Ltd Head Office at Staverton in the purpose built training facility and on the outdoor fire demonstration area. This course may be offered at your own premises by arrangement but the practical fire fighting demonstration may be excluded.
Time: Morning or Afternoon sessions are available.
Content:
A presentation and discussion will be given covering the following main topics:
Fire Awareness
- Fire safety
- Action to be taken on discovering a fire
- Calling the fire brigade
- Action to be taken on hearing the Fire Alarm (Nominated Personnel)
- Checking the building for fire
- Fire drill procedures
- Information required by the Fire Brigade on arrival
- Cause of fire
Role of the Fire Warden
- Responsibilities and duties of the Fire Warden
Fire fighting demonstration and training
Learning outcomes:
- Delegates gain fire safety awareness of their surrounding environment.
- Delegates understand prevention fire in the work place.
- Delegates learn correct responses in result of fire.
- Practical fire fighting skills and fire extinguisher knowledge.
- Roles and responsibilities of the fire warden.
