Dry risers and wet risers are used by the Fire Safety Service to provide a supply of water from the outside of a building to high locations in the building for fire fighters to use.

Dry risers consist of pipework with an inlet on the outside of the building for the fire service to connect to at the bottom and fitted with outlets on each level of the staircases in the building or other suitable positions. The fire fighters tackling the fire will connect to these outlets within the building to fight the fire without having to run long lengths of hose.

It is a requirement that any equipment provided to be used by the emergency services is maintained in accordance with British Standards. It is required that rising systems are visually inspected every 6 months and major pressure tested and serviced annually to ensure that the equipment is ready for immediate use in an emergency.

We can provide a quality maintenance and service on all dry, wet risers and hydrants installed in all buildings types. Contact us today to arrange an installation or maintenance proposal for your firefighting rising and hydrant systems.
