Fire Marshal & Fire Warden Training Course

Fire Safety training is designed to raise awareness of fire hazards in the workplace and how to act safely in the event of an emergency fire situation, including selecting and using the correct fire extinguisher. With proper training, workers can eliminate fire hazards and respond quickly and efficiently if a fire breaks out. It is also designed to train staff in fire safety procedures which they can apply specifically to your fire safety policies.

It is a legal requirement that all employees undergo basic fire safety training at induction and periodically thereafter, expected annually in most workplaces. The training must be carried out by a competent person with suitable with the sufficient skills and knowledge of fire safety.

With changes to company policies and recommendations from individual company Fire Risk Assessments, there is no “set in stone” rule for how often staff should be trained. It is generally recognised that certificates are renewed every three years, with annual refresher training courses.

All staff should receive fire safety training at induction at the beginning of their employment. Any new changes to fire risks within the business must be communicated and fire drills should be carried out at least once per year. Your fire risk assessment will determine what type of fire safety training is required for various employees and how often these must be carried out.

We have various fire safety courses which can be bespoke for your business. All our fire safety courses include the practical use of a fire extinguisher; therefore, we can comfortably accommodate up to 15 people, this allows each participant to take part if they choose to. Look at each of our courses to find out more information and select the one(s) most suitable for you.

A&E Fire and Security can provide various fire safety training courses either at your chosen premises or at our offices in Staverton, Cheltenham, overlooking Gloucestershire Airport. Our public Fire Warden/Marshal courses are held at our office location once a month.
