Perimeter Radar Detection | Magos Radar Installer
A&E Fire & Security is now an authorised Magos installer.
We’ve added AI-classified ground and drone detection radar to our fire and security services — giving Midlands, South West and South Wales sites an early-warning layer that spots a real intrusion before it reaches the fence line, without the false alarms.
Why we’ve added radar
CCTV tells you what happened. Radar tells you it’s happening — before someone reaches the building. Magos’s ground-based and drone detection radars classify what they see using AI, so the system tells the difference between a person, a vehicle and a fox in the car park, and only raises an alarm for the ones that matter.
For sites we already protect — yards, compounds, plant and equipment stores, solar arrays — that means fewer nuisance call-outs and a genuine chance to intervene while an intruder is still outside the perimeter, not after they’ve broken in.
What we install
Three parts of the Magos platform, specified, installed and commissioned by our own engineers alongside your existing fire and security systems.
Perimeter detection
Fixed and rotating radar units that track movement across open ground in all weather and light conditions, well beyond the range a camera can usefully cover on its own.
AR-300
Detects and tracks small unmanned aircraft approaching a site, giving security teams warning of overflight before a drone is directly overhead.
Radar, video and control, in one view
The software layer that fuses radar tracks with your camera feeds, automatically slewing PTZs onto a target and filtering out the false alarms — wildlife, weather, passing traffic.
Where it fits
Radar earns its keep on sites with open ground to cover and a genuine cost to a breach — which describes a good number of the premises we already look after.
Industrial & distribution yards
Open compounds, loading areas and fenced plant storage.
Construction sites
Temporary perimeters with high-value plant and materials on site overnight.
Solar farms
Large, unmanned sites where cable theft is the main risk.
Schools & campuses
Out-of-hours grounds coverage alongside existing intruder and fire systems.
Vehicle & plant compounds
Car lots and hire yards where stock sits outdoors, exposed.
Agricultural premises
Large boundaries, remote from the nearest keyholder.
Utilities & substations
Critical infrastructure with strict access and intrusion reporting needs.
Warehousing & logistics
Perimeter cover to back up the building’s own alarm and access control.
Why have A&E install it
Radar is only as good as the design and the commissioning behind it. We’re bringing it in through the same team and the same standards we’ve run since 1965.
One survey, one design
Radar coverage is planned alongside your existing fire, intruder and CCTV systems, not bolted on as a separate project.
Directly employed engineers
No subcontracted installers — the people who survey the site are the people who commission it.
24-hour support
Backed by the same round-the-clock response we provide across our fire and security contracts.
A family business, independently owned
Established 1965, still run by the same family, with a Royal Warrant and debt-free reserves behind us.
Getting started
A short process, most of it before anything is fitted.
-
01
Site survey
We walk the perimeter with you, note vulnerable ground, existing power and network runs, and any structures that could block coverage.
-
02
Radar design & quote
We size and position the radar units, propose the integration with your existing systems, and give you a fixed quote.
-
03
Installation & commissioning
Our engineers fit and configure the system on site, tune detection zones, and test alarm handling with you before sign-off.
-
04
Ongoing support
Radar is added to your existing maintenance and monitoring arrangements with A&E — one contract, one point of contact.
